John Russell Duffy
John Duffy is an experienced musician and instrumental teacher. With over twenty years experience in the music industry.
He studied at James Gillespies High School, the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (now the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland), and Napier University Edinburgh. He studied trombone with Kevin Thompson (Scottish Opera Orchestra), piano with Ann Scott (RSAMD) and performance with Bryan Free (Royal Scottish National Orchestra).
As a musician he has appeared on both radio and TV with various orchestras and ensembles throughout the UK. Based in Edinburgh, he is also a skilful music engraver, organist, composer and arranger and runs a successful music teaching practice in Edinburgh.
John Duffy is a professional member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians and the Royal College of Organists, and have an up-to-date DBS certificate.
